Customizing the Current Screen for the Current Client, Case or Session

On many screens you can select what information you want to be shown.

For instance, the Palpation screen has two main parts: (1) muscle lists and (2) one or more body pictures. If you are not going to use the muscle lists for a specific session, you can get rid of them so that they don't clutter your screen. You can also get rid of the body pictures if you want.

The same principle applies to more detailed information. For instance, on the client information tab, you could show or hide the field that would allow you to collect information about your clients' race if you so desired.

You can customize your screens so that your changes apply to:

How to customize the current screen for the current client, case or session:

Look for a little arrow in the top left area of the current tab's content. The exact look of that arrow depends on the Windows version and the specific Windows theme you are using.

Clicking on that arrow, will expand and contract a customization panel on the left side of the tab.

In that new customization panel on the left, you will see checkboxes corresponding to entry fields on the right side.

Each checkbox that is checked on the left corresponds to one or more items on the right.  For instance, the Dominant Hand checkbox on the left corresponds to the Dominant Hand entry field on the right. Since the HICN checkbox on the left is not checked, there is no corresponding entry field on the right.

If we want, we can check the HICN checkbox to reveal the HICN entry field, and we can uncheck the Dominant Hand checkbox to hide the Dominant Hand field:

WinCity SOAP Notes will not let you hide input fields that contain information. For instance, if you have entered a client's Date of Birth, WinCity SOAP Notes will not let you hide that field. If you select the content of the Date of Birth field and press the DELETE or BACKSPACE key on your keyboard, you will clear the Date of Birth field and be allowed again to hide it by clicking on the appropriate checkbox in the customization panel on the left.

Tip

Consider customizing WinCity SOAP Note so that the sections and fields you rarely or never use are always hidden and so that the sections and fields that you commonly or always use are always shown. See Customizing Screens for All New Clients, Cases or Sessions. Use the technique described on this page to access fields that are rarely used when you need them.
